The Health Technologies Team conceives and proves out exciting new technology for Apple’s future products and features. We are seeking a highly motivated biomedical scientist to join a cross-functional team to work on feasibility assessment and development of health & wellness sensors, systems, and applications.

Key Qualifications:
•Strong background in the use of biomedical sensors and systems for measuring physiological signals.
•Relevant experience working with multi-sensor platforms to collect and analyze physiological data in the health & wellness and/or fitness realms.
•Strong understanding of human physiology.
•Good fundamentals in data analysis and sound programming skills using one or more data analysis languages (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python, C, etc.).
•Experience with statistical design of human studies is a plus.

Description:
Help design and execute small scale pilot studies and large scale sensor fusion studies to enable health and wellness features and physiological measurement applications.
Distill and interpret study findings to inform sensor and algorithm specifications and to identify product opportunities related to health and wellness measurements.
Develop analysis tools and perform feasibility assessment of small and large scale physiological sensor data sets.
Develop data visualization strategies for health and wellness features and physiological measurement applications.
Develop data organization and management strategies to support large scale studies.
Solicit and incorporate input from cross-functional teams at Apple for setting sensor specifications, design and development goals, algorithms, and data visualization.
Communicate results of feasibility assessments, data visualization schemes, and physiological relevance of measurement approaches to other teams and Apple executives.

Education:
Degree: Master’s or Ph.D.
Field of Study: Biomedical engineering or other engineering discipline with relevant prior experience in medical, physiological, health, wellness and/or fitness sensors, devices, and applications.
